Try. New. Things.

Trying new things can be scarier. For instance, this blog thing I'm doing. I have never done anything like this. I wanted to try it just to see how I would like it. So far it has been fun setting everything up but keeping up with posts will be a little challenging. This first blog is kind of like my test run but hey, I'm taking my own advice and trying something new.

Another "new" thing I have been trying to do is love people. I know as Christians we love everyone but sometimes our flesh and our pride get in the way. I am trying to put myself away and just focus on others. Trying to understand others. Now that is a "new" thing everyone should try.

This coming summer I plan to do something I have never done before. I plan to go on a missions trip! I felt a burden for Haiti so I applied for an AYC trip. I have never been out of the country, except Canada, before and am super excited to go on a trip. My dad knows the missionaries to Haiti and my Great Aunt Bonnie and her husband used to be the missionaries. There are some exciting times up ahead!

So if I am the only one who ends up reading this that is great. If not, even better. But like I have said before, this is all for me anyway. Like a digital journal that could possible be read by anyone! And so my point is, try new things. Do what you are scared to do. The worst thing that could happen is you fail but you just get back up and try again. Do what you think is impossible because you can do anything. Philippians 4:13 even says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I believe that and you should too!
